Title: Rocky Gorge

The painting is of Rocky Gorge, on the Swift River, along the Kangamagus Highway in NH. While photographing this site, in the early spring, I nearly fell into the gorge. I was standing on a bridge, spanning the gorge and stepped off the bridge to get a better angle. My foot landed in some melting ice and I immediately was sliding into the gorge. The only thing that saved me was that there was a piece of plastic construction fencing attached form the bridge rail to the stone wall, which I grabbed as I was falling.
