La Vitrina by Antonio Lopez Garcia
Typically, one's first steps into the pool of art began with drawing. Drawing 101 is typically a first year requirement course for many an aspiring art student. Truth be told, for many of us, it was probably the love of drawing that sparked the passion for art. The concept is simple enough. Render a three dimensional view onto a two dimensional canvas (paper) using a graphite pencil or some vine charcoal. And yet, given perspective, cast shadows, reflective light and tonal values, the pursuit of a quality rendering remains formidable enough to satisfy our search for a challenge.
Drawing remains fundamental to most forms of two dimensional artwork. Many great artists remain true to the medium even if for conducting color studies and thumbnails for refining composition of a piece. Following are some samples of our member's drawing and conte studies.
